Do you want a career in Agricultural Engineering?
Two Cornish businesses are encouraging local students into land-based engineering by offering scholarships up to £1,500.
Vincent Tractors and Truro Farm Machinery are working with Duchy College Rosewarne to offer two lucky students a work placement at the business as well as FREE tools and equipment.
The scholarships are open to anyone leaving school this year and looking to study the Land-Based Technical Certificate Level 2 at Duchy College Rosewarne.
The successful applicant will receive:
- A work placement at Vincent Tractors in St Columb two days a week for the duration of the course
- £500 tool voucher
- A bus pass up to £360
- A laptop
- A forklift certificate
- A potential permanent job offer at the end of the course.
The course provides students with all the skills and experience they need to have a successful career as an agricultural engineer or to branch out into other fields such as becoming a plant engineer or off shore engineer.
You must be in year 11 with predicted GCSE grades C or above in English Language and Maths to apply for the scholarship. If you do not expect to achieve a C or above in these subjects you can still apply for the full time Land-based Engineering Technical Certificate.
Applications close on 23/07/2017 at midnight.
To apply for the scholarship, complete the simple form below to register your interest. We will then get in touch with you to get some more information and you will be required to attend a formal interview in July. Good luck!
