By the end of this Level 3 apprenticeship, you will know how to carry out structural and decorative brickwork, repair and maintain masonry structures and erect complex masonry structures.
Usually you spend one day per week at college learning new technical skills and theory, however there will also be periods of week-long block training at college when you will participate in larger construction projects such as building chimneys, working with obtuse angles and creating arches.
If you choose the apprenticeship route you will be able to work, earn and learn from the start. Gaining invaluable real world experience, while gaining theoretical and advanced skills usually by attending college one day per week. If you are not ready to start working straight away, you may want to spend a year on a full-time Level 1 qualification first to build your confidence and skills, while finding an employer prepared to take you on for an apprenticeship.
