Business studies offers pathways into an array of professional careers and is a great way to gain a whole range of universal skills that will serve you well throughout your working life. If you are good at a broad range of subjects like maths and English, like working with people but can also be driven and work on your own and have an analytical mind then a business programme is a great choice.

We recommend that you start at a level that matches your capabilities, based on your GCSE grades, the entry requirements for our business courses will guide you to the best starting point.

This Level 3 course (equivalent to A-level study) will help you develop a range of skills, knowledge and personal qualities essential for career development and progression within the business and related sectors.  It will provide you with the appropriate knowledge and skills including administration, finance, customer service, management and entrepreneurship. Focus will be on the practical application of knowledge and the development of the work related skills required for employment in business and other related sectors.

PROFILE

Dr Bryan Mills Team Lead Business

Originally a builder by trade, Bryan returned to education gaining his business degree then progressing on to a PhD in Economics. Bryan guest lectures at business symposiums all over the world and also leads on Cornwall College’s business degree, that saw half the learners gain first-class honours degrees last year.
