If your passion is to develop your practical skills in confectionery, desserts, chocolate, sugar work and dough products while being employed in a relevant setting, then our specialist patisserie apprenticeship is perfect. You will learn a wide variety of techniques to enable you to design, produce and display all types of confectionery and you’ll also study nutrition, food provenance, correct storage, food safety and lots more.
You’ll also be part of one of the best catering college’s in the UK with three Centre’s of Excellence and the only catering college to have two commercial restaurants both awarded AA college Rosettes. We also provide training and partner with many household names including; Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, The Eden Project, River Cottage and more, giving you industry connections to help boost your career.

two GCSEs at grade E or 2, including English and mathematics, a related apprenticeship or a Level 2 qualification, although prior relevant experience will be considered.
A wide range of skills taught both at your place of work and in the training kitchen. You’ll study food provenance, nutrition, correct storage, food safety, management and supervisory skills.
To be assessed through assignments, projects and practical skill tests during your course. You’ll also work towards a Level 2 functional skills qualification in English and mathematics.
