Bench Joinery / Site Carpentry Diploma

Cornwall College Camborne | St Austell LEVEL: 2 Construction

If you are interested in working in the construction industry, specifically learning a wood trade we offer a choice of specialist training, in bench joinery and site carpentry. Site carpentry focuses on woodwork essential to a construction site, and includes fitting flooring, roofng frame installation, partition wall construction and stair building. Bench joinery is predominantly more workshop based, where you make and prepare materials for installation on a construction site.

We offer specialist training and qualifications in both bench joinery and site carpentry. There is opportunity to cross over between the two disciplines if you start down one path but then decide it is not right for you. We recommend that all learners start at a Level 2 qualification as a minimum. There is also the option to move to an apprenticeship.

This Level 2 course is ideal if you wish to pursue a career in the wood trade industries.
