Aircraft Maintenance Diploma Level 2

Cornwall College Camborne LEVEL: 2 Engineering

Aviation is at the forefront of technology and is currently suffering a shortage of skilled people. Aircraft can range from simple single seat microlights to large wide bodied airliners with up to a thousand passengers, with helicopters and fast jets in between.

Whether you are interested in flying or engineering, either in the civil industry or the military then Cornwall College can set you on the path. With courses starting at Level 2 right up to level 4 which are all recognised in the sector, it is up to you how far you go. Perhaps leading to an EASA maintenance licence, which is recognised around the world or a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, the sky literally is the limit.

Aircraft engineers play a vital role in aviation safety, allowing millions of passengers to arrive at their destinations each day. This course will teach you the basics of civil aviation engineering, or prepare you for a career in the military. Subjects include the fundamentals of aviation science, airframe construction, electronic principles and the theory of flight amongst many others. You will love learning in our practical workshops at Camborne and Newquay Airport where we have our own aircraft.

As part of your course you will be required to carry out Work Experience and/or an Industry Placement. For more details please click here.
