You dream job or university place require you to have a Grade 5 or above in GCSE Mathematics.
There are no formal qualifications or experience necessary to gain entry onto this course. However at interview you will undertake an initial assessment to ensure you are working at the required level, if not you will be offered a Functional Skills course at the appropriate level. Functional Skills is a nationally recognised stepping stone qualification to GCSE study. You will need a high degree of self-motivation and dedication to attend weekly lessons and complete homework set.
How to use problem-solving strategies and to work efficiently by breaking down complex situations into simpler steps. You will be able to explore, identify and interpret mathematical situations and communicate them clearly.

GCSE maths provides a foundation for AS and A-level study in Mathematics. GCSEs are universally recognised and allow the development of skills considered by many employers.
