If you are already qualified to a level 2 standard and are looking to improve upon your qualification, either as a full time or part time student, this course will help you to progress in your career in beauty therapy.
You may also be looking to demonstrate that you have the skills necessary to offer treatments at a more advanced level. Not only will you develop existing skills but you will also train in the more specialist areas such as electrotherapy and microdermabrasion.
If you don’t currently have the skills or experience required to undertake this Level 3 course we also offer Beauty Therapy Level 2, which upon completion will allow you to progress to Level 3.

Beauty Therapy Certificate Level 2, plus GCSE English and maths at grade 4 - 9.
If you are aged 16-19 without the required grades, you will be required to continue developing your Maths, English and Employability skills as a part of your study programme.
As with all courses, enthusiasm and motivation are needed in order to succeed in the course.

During the course, you will learn various techniques and skills which are used by beauty therapists. You will gain the confidence and understanding of these techniques so you are prepared for work.
Areas of study include the following:
- Body Massage
- Hot Stones Massage
- Facial Electrotherapy
- Body Electrotherapy
- Indian Head Massage
In addition to all of the practical aspects of the course, students will learn salon practice, promotional activity, health and safety and anatomy & physiology for beauty therapists.
To train in one of our industry standard salons, work in a realistic environment and use the latest equipment, machinery and products.
When you are confident enough and have practiced the techniques to a level 3 standard, you will be able to provide treatments to paying customers.
Training in the more specialist areas of electrotherapy and microdermabrasion.
You may wish to continue with your studies and progress on to the Salon Management qualification which incorporates light & laser for skin rejuvenation and advanced electrolysis.
Or, you may move into employment in a salon, become a trainer, lecturer or a company field technician.
Opportunities exist for beauty therapists throughout the UK as well as overseas in holiday resorts, on cruise ships and major airlines. There are good prospects for beauty therapists and you could follow a variety of career paths.
