If you would like to work in the theatre, film or television industry as a hair and make-up artist, or run your own make-up business, then our courses will give you the wide range of skills you need from applying simple make-up to more intricate, theatrical make-up, such as working with prosthetics and creating special effects.
To ensure you gain all the skills needed for a career as a make-up artist, you will need to start on one of our Level 2 courses. On successful completion you can go into employment or continue your studies at Level 3.
Our courses will put you on the road to a great future; we have developed our qualifications in partnership with industry professionals to ensure the knowledge you gain is not only relevant and current, but will set you apart in the workplace. Throughout your studies you will learn by completing practical activities and assessments based on professional real-life scenarios in our Koko commercial training salons. You’ll get the chance to take part in competitions, fashion shows and get some masterclass insights from visiting professionals.

GCSE English and maths at grade 3.
Excellent industry skills such as how to apply make-up, provide eyebrows and eyelash treatments, the art of photographic make-up, body art designs, how to colour and dress hair as well as make and style hair additions.
To work in a realistic working environment, this could include shows and competitions as well as working on clients. There will also be a practical and theoretical exam.

Our Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair & Media Make-up Diploma Level 3 or employment in the industry.
