Our Level 3 diplomas in wildlife conservation and animal science are equivalent to A-levels and are designed for you to go straight on to university study. Cornwall College Newquay is proud of its university provision, in partnership with Plymouth University, offering degrees in a number of specialist animal and conservation subjects.

Our Newquay campus is dedicated to teaching others about animals and conservation and makes full use of its partnership with Newquay Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. During your studies we will give you all the expert knowledge and skills you need to start your career in either animal science or wildlife conservation.

You have a passion for wildlife, conservation and enjoy being outdoors,
exploring the Cornish coast and countryside.
Five GCSEs at grade 4, including English, science and mathematics.
During the course you will study a broad range of subjects including wildlife management and rehabilitation, ecological concepts, wildlife, ecology and conservation, and population surveys. You will love the field trips and opportunities to work with nationally recognised conservation and environmental groups. You will share your first year with the Animal Management Diploma and this is the qualification you will receive on completion of your course.
Your assignments and projects to be assessed throughout the course as
well as externally set exams.

You'll have classes in Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium and at Tolcarne beach.
University study such as our FdSc Animal Behaviour & Psychology, FdSc Animal Husbandry and Welfare, FdSc Wildlife Education & Media, FdSc Zoological Conservation or BSc (Hons) Applied Zoology & Conservation.
