The course is for those who have a genuine commitment to work with and study animals. Students get first-hand experience of handling and observing animals in captivity and natural habitats. You need to be enthusiastic and committed to hard work, especially during the less glamorous aspects of the course.

an Animal Management
Advanced Technical Diploma, plus
Five GCSEs at grade C or 5, including science, English or mathematics, or an equivalent qualification and a suitable reference.
The skills required to help conserve captive wild animals by developing your knowledge in topics such as avian health and husbandry, aquatics welfare and breed development, and zoological collections.
Your assignments and projects to be assessed throughout the course as
well as externally set exams.
The opportunities to build links with Newquay Zoo and Blue
Reef Aquarium. You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your horizons
with a life changing trip to Africa.
Employment or university study such as our FdScZoological Conservation, FdSc Animal Husbandry & Welfare or FdSc Marine Conservation.
