Dry Stone Walling

Develop your skills in dry stone walling with this two day course. Dry stone walls are part of our heritage and an important and attractive way to define boundaries. Laying the stones without using mortar is an age-old technique which keeps the walls strong and stable. You will undertake basic walling and be able to rebuild gaps in free-standing dry stone walls. Improve your awareness of safe working practices and the preservation of our wildlife and habitat.

Safe Use Of Pesticides PA1 & PA6

Professional Qualification • Part-time • Duchy College Stoke Climsland

Please note – Full payment for this course must be made at least two weeks before enrolment. This course is suitable for Farmers and Horticultural Growers. The course will enhance your understanding of the subject, and enable you to legally spray your own land or that of your employer. This course consists of two days of training followed by a one day assessment. Day one is mainly classroom based and takes the form of a PowerPoint presentation which covers PA1. There will also be a practical demonstration of PA6. The second day consists of a 1 to 1 on farm assessment to enable you to gain the required City and Guilds/NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides.
