Come and join our team with your son/daughter to experience a variety of forest school activities tailored to young people with special educational needs. You’ll learn about the natural environment, use tools and try lighting fires!

  What You Will Learn

Forest School is a person-centred learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth. It is a long-term programme that support exploration and supported risk-taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences. This course will support you to develop your understanding of Forest School and undertake a variety of activities in our woodland.

The FL Independence Pathway develops your independence and pre-vocational skills that will support your transition to adulthood. On this pathway you will work towards individual personal targets linked to different areas of independence and vocation, which may include: Vocational learning linked to land-based activities; Learning to travel by bus or train; Independent living at home, e.g. basic home cooking skills or keeping the home clean and tidy; Independent living in the community, which may include learning to go shopping or going to a restaurant; Personal development, such as learning to keep safe and the importance of staying healthy.
