Holly Yelland TRAINING CO-ORDINATOR ON THE BVD STAMP IT OUT PROJECT AT RURAL BUSINESS SCHOOL AND SHEPHERDESS TO HER OWN FLOCK OF EWES
On completion of the Agriculture Diploma Level 3, Holly then continued her studies with the FdSc Agriculture and the BSc (Hons) Rural Business Management. Holly is currently studying for a PGCE alongside her two job roles of of training co-ordinator and shepherdess. “I was getting mid-range results at school, but at Duchy College I received a distinction* in my diploma and a first class honours on my degree. I think the smaller class sizes helped to create good working relationships between students and teachers, which allowed for excellent learning and knowledge transfer to occur. Alongside my work as a training co-ordinator, and teaching on my PGCE, I also keep my own ewes. I thoroughly enjoy working with them and strive to improve their performance, genetics and breeding of ewes. I am extremely passionate about improving the longevity of breeding flocks.”
