This course is for school leavers who wish to progress into the equine industry and is ideal for those who have little experience with horses and would like to learn basic stable management skills and riding skills.

You have little experience with horses but would like to learn basic stable management skills and riding skills.
GCSE English and maths at grade E or 2, or equivalent qualifications at Entry Level 3. Plus a basic knowledge of riding, which includes walk and trot unassisted.
Practical stable management skills of mucking out, grooming and general horse handling. You will learn how to groom horses, muck out horses, clean horse tack, feed horses, ride and handle horses under direction.
The opportunity to undertake work experience at the College’s equestrian centre.
Regular tuition in riding and the opportunity to ride in student competitions.
Our Horse Care City & Guilds Diploma Level 2 or an apprenticeship.
