Whatever the occasion florists are called upon to put together a creative arrangement in keeping with the client’s brief, this can range from welcoming babies, decorating brides and celebrating graduates, to comforting the sick or honouring the dead. As a florist you will use your creativity on a daily basis and enjoy interacting with the public.
An apprenticeship will allow you to earn money while you are studying. In order to start your apprenticeship in floristry you will need to join the Level 2 course and on successful completion you can then progress on to Level 3 and beyond.
This level 3 course is ideal should you wish to further develop your skills for a career in this creative and interesting industry. You will expand your existing knowledge of design and arranging bouquets and floral arrangements, and the core elements essential to a successful floristry operation.

Caroline Crabb Lecturer - Floristry
Caroline has been working in the floristry industry for almost two decades. She regularly competes in national competitors, has won medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has run her own floristry business for the last 16 years. Caroline is one of only 50 people in the UK to hold the Masters Diploma in Professional Floristry (City & Guilds Level 5). She has also been awarded in a Licentiateship LCGI and Affiliateship (AfCGI) by City & Guilds.
