dBs Music Bristol is looking to appoint a highly creative and committed person to lecture across our music technology provision (HE and FE).
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant discipline, a recognised teaching qualification alongside extensive teaching experience, preferably with an active professional practice in the field of Electronic Music Production and/or Studio Recording.
A key requirement of the post includes the management, coordination and delivery of modules and units, as well as working with the dBs Music support team to enhance the student experience.
Applicants will have:
recent experience of teaching music production at higher level
recent experience of course management at higher level
strong interpersonal skills
a good eye for detail, thorough analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities
a passion for music and electronic music production
an awareness of the key issues facing the music and new media industries
high level of computer literacy, including knowledge of different DAW’s and office based systems
recent or current industry practice related to electronic music production
Applicants will also ideally have:
some people management experience
experience of achieving high levels of student success
command of educational systems at HE/FE level (UCAS, degree application process)
existing industry contacts nationally and internationally
experience of marketing & promotion activity for HE/FE courses
