PETER WALKER

Teaching Staff Member

Peter Walker is currently working as Team Lead – Agriculture and Countryside. He entered the teaching profession in 1986 and has worked for the College for over 25 years. During that period, with colleagues, he has developed a range of land based courses for learners at the Duchy sites in Agriculture, Countryside and Gamekeeping.

He has been involved in development work with schools with land based Diplomas across a number of College sites and was appointed AQA Chair of Examiners for Environmental and Land based Studies. In his current role he works closely with colleagues in developing teaching a learning strategies and training with the Land based curriculum area.

Peter joined the Board as a staff governor in September 2009 and is a member of the Excellence and Experience Committee and the Remuneration Committee.

Peter is married with two children and enjoys playing tennis and five-a-side football in his leisure time.
