Following a successful Christmas wreath making course, a Devonian college is embracing the seasons with a contemporary floristry workshop this Easter.
The workshop will be a chance to join award-winning florists and learn how to create beautiful Easter themed designs in a fun-filled atmosphere in the beautiful grounds of Bicton College, according to Lucy Somerville.
The experienced team, which includes a British Master Florist, will demonstrate how to create a modern table centre and a seasonal hand tied in a frame, similar to those they will be entering at a variety of shows this year including Devon County Show and RHS Hampton Court.
“We are very excited to be holding another seasonal flower class and it’s great that this opportunity is open to the local community, as well as current learners and staff,” Lucy continued.
“No experience is necessary and we welcome everyone to come and learn different floristry techniques, working with both dried and fresh materials – so it really is a great opportunity for anyone interested in flowers or craft not to be missed!’
So if you’re a keen florist, or just enjoy having fresh flowers in your home – make sure you join Bicton College’s floristry department on Saturday 1st April 10am-4pm, at Bicton College, East Budleigh. The cost for the day is £60, which includes all materials and you keep what you make.
