Professional Cookery students and staff from Cornwall College Saltash will be demonstrating why they are the Best in the West at this year’s Mount Edgcumbe Christmas Fayre, which is being held on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December.
Course coordinator for Professional Cookery at Cornwall College Saltash, Lesley Retallack, said: “For the past four years Cornwall College has supported this event and it gives us a great opportunity to engage with the public and to showcase our skills. It’s also great for our students to show off what they have learnt on their course so far.”
The Cornwall College Group is officially classed as one of the Best Catering Colleges in the UK by People 1st, the independent hospitality service provider. Visitors to the show will be able to watch staff and students in action as they prepare and cook a variety of dishes for the public to taste.
Lesley continued: “We work very closely with local chef Jaques Marchal and the team at Mount Edgcumbe. This year we will be helping to compare the show, as well as producing some delicious food.”
With an estimated footfall of over 6000 people, the event promises to be a diverse and enjoyable 2 days.
