The organisers of a free Autumn Fair in St Austell are making the final preparations for what is sure to be a fantastic family day out.
Held on Saturday 22nd September at 11am-3pm at Cornwall College St Austell, visitors will get to explore the stalls, take part in fun games and try out some of skills involved in courses that are on offer.
The fair will be a hive of activity, which will include a produce show, as well as a sticker treasure hunt with a £100 voucher prize to the lucky winner.
Expect games and fun activities such as dancing, cakey teas, BBQ, music, storytelling and much more, according to Head of Campus, Chris Taylor.
“Staff and students are very much looking forward to welcoming the community up at the College,” he continued.
“I’ve booked the weather so we’re looking forward to another fantastic Autumn Fair!”
For those who love to bake or grow their own produce, the produce tent will be a battle of entrant’s magnificent marrows, colossal carrots and carefully crafted cakes.
There are four separate categories to enter produce into; Cakes & Preserves, Vegetables, Fruit and a Children’s competition.
A raffle will take place at the end of the day and all proceeds will go towards the Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) unit, which is coming to the college in November for a screening event for those aged 14-35.
