Watersports students studying in Cornwall successfully completed an international educational trip to Neilson Watersports resort in Greece.
The students from Falmouth Marine School spent a week at the centre, perfecting their coaching skills in warmer seas and learning about the operations and management of the popular resort.
Toby Shepherd, aged 17, said it was an unforgettable experience.
“We have seen what a great Industry we are working our way towards. I can’t wait to be working as a watersports instructor when I finish my course.”
The students began their visit with an early morning cycle ride followed by a talk from the manager at Neilson Aeolian Village resort.
Programme Manager Hannah Mason said it is important for students to gain an insight into both the local and national industry that they will end up working in.
“Our course is completely unique,” she explained.
“We run it in partnership one of Cornwall’s leading outdoor providers, South West Lakes.
“Learners benefit form emersion in a real life working centre, gaining practical and technical skills that will set them up for working in the industry.”
