St Austell residents have only a few chances left to experience the finest of three course Christmas dinners.
Christmas at Cloisters Restaurant at John Keay House is already almost a sell-out this year, with only four dates remaining for food enthusiasts to get their fill of a fantastic seasonal menu.
Restaurant Manager Matt Bird said how “thrilled” he was for the record amount of pre-bookings this year.
“Our Christmas dining experience is always a popular choice for locals; where else could you go in the St Austell bay area and get a fine dining three course lunch for only £17.95?”
“It’s also a fantastic experience for our students, who for some will have their first taste of working a fully booked restaurant during the lead up to Christmas.”
Andrew Holloway, who is in his fourth year of chef training at Cornwall College, commented on how “fun” this part of the year is for those in the food industry.
“It’s always a great experience and we get a real sense of comaradery in the kitchens, it’s great to be increasing my confidence and taking the skills I learn back to my employers.”
TJ is in his second year and urged locals to check out the Cloisters Facebook page for updates on what they are doing.
“Our customers will enjoy the traditional meats and vegetables associated with a Christmas menu, including sprouts! We’ll be prepping more than 25kg of sprouts a day once we are in full swing and catering for 70 guests per sitting.”
